Set up the data sync

Salesforce users can view and manage customers, appointments and events (coming soon) created in JRNI from within Salesforce. The data sync allows you to send data from JRNI to Salesforce objects.

Events will be visible in the Salesforce calendar and JRNI data can be pulled into Salesforce reports.

Make sure you have read through the prerequisites before setting up the data sync.

  1. Install via App Exchange or directly via the Managed Package URL. Ask your account manager for latest version of the Managed Package.
  2. Open the URL of the Managed Package in the browser. Log in as the system admin of the Salesforce environment where you want the package to be installed (sandbox or production). On the installation page, select the option Install for All Users then click Install.
Upon install, Salesforce will install JRNI and grant access to all users. When the installation is finished, you will receive an email to confirm installation is complete. You can proceed with the installation whilst waiting for confirmation.
Click on the expand icon in the top left to see your JRNI app in the app menu.
  3. The next step is to set up access between JRNI and the connected app. Authentication is done using a secure OAuth 2.0 connection. Log in to the Studio platform with a user that has access to the parent company. Once logged in as an Administer Parent, go to Settings > Integrations > Salesforce, and click Add integration.
On the next page select Test environment if you want to authenticate to a Salesforce dev sandbox, or Login environment if you want to connect to a Salesforce production environment.
  4. Log in to Salesforce when prompted with a System Administrator account. This user with which you authenticate will be the owner of the data that is send to Salesforce. Once logged in, allow access of the JRNI app to your Salesforce environment.

Congratulations! You’ are now connected to Salesforce. A connection should now be visible in the Studio page. Now that a connection is created, you can start mapping JRNI data to Salesforce objects.
