Creating and managing user access

JRNI makes it easy to collaborate with colleagues and teams from your organization. As a user with Owner access you can create new users, assign a role type (with inherited permissions), and set up their login details.
Adding a new user
Before you add a new user you should consider the type of access they will need, such as their required location access and role type - visit our guide on understanding user roles and permissions to learn more. Once you have chosen the appropriate access and role type, follow the steps below to add your new user:
- Log into your JRNI account.
- Click your username from the top menu.
- Click the Manage Users button.
- Next to Other Users and Administrators, click Create New.
- Complete the new user creation form; including:
- Email address
- Name
- Role: determines what the user can see and do
- Person: limits the staff member the user has access to view/manage
- Group: determines which staff groups the user has access to
- Password
- Click Create once completed.
The email address and password provided will become the user's login credentials.
Editing and deleting a user
To update an existing user, locate the user in your Manage Users section, click the Actions button, and select Edit.

From here, you can update their user Role, any staff Groups they have access to and the Person (staff they can access specifically). Click Update to save your changes.
To delete a user go to Actions (as above) and select Delete. You will be asked to confirm whether you wish to delete the user or not. Once confirmed, the user will be permanently deleted.
