Using the Capacity Dashboard

You need to be using JRNI Analytics Essentials / Plus to view this dashboard

The Capacity Dashboard provided in JRNI Analytics displays an overview of bookable capacity across the business, including staff capacity by region or branch/store. Use this dashboard to help inform operational decisions, track uptime/downtime, and understand who/where is at their busiest.

Report types

JRNI Analytics comes with a template library of reports (Looks) which, for the Capacity Dashboard, includes the below:

  • Overview capacity per person per location (this week): overview of shift pattern, bookable time, and booked/blocked time per person for this week.
  • Overview capacity per person per location (next week): overview of shift pattern, bookable time, and booked/blocked time per person for next week.
  • Most booked person: Staff with the highest booked/blocked time per hour for the upcoming 4 weeks.
  • Most booked location: Location with the highest booked/blocked time per hour for the upcoming 4 weeks.
  • % of time available: what is the % of shift patterns of all the staff/location is bookable.
  • % of time unavailable: what is the % of shift patterns of all the staff/location is booked/blocked.

With Analytics Plus, on top of viewing the Capacity dashboard, existing reports can be removed and newly-created reports can be added.

FAQs and Troubleshooting

How often does the dashboard update?

The Capacity Dashboard updates every 24 hours.

How many days in the future does the dashboard display?

The Capacity is calculated for the upcoming 30 days.

How can I filter the dashboard to a set time period?

You can filter the Capacity Dashboard (or any other dashboard) using filters. For example, if you wanted to view capacity for the next 7 days, you could apply the “Date of calculation” field which will show you capacity starting today, for the next 7 days.
