New Features and Enhancements
Express Queue
Your customers can now join a queue themselves from their mobile device, a shared link, or a QR code without needing staff to add them manually. Express Queue gives walk-in customers a complete self-service experience: they select the service they need, enter their contact details, answer any booking questions, and join the queue.
Once in the queue, customers see a live status page that updates in real time with their current position. As they move through the queue they see clear status updates from waiting, to being seen, to completed. If a customer needs to step away, they can leave the queue and rejoin later without losing their place. When the queue is full, customers are told before they try to join, reducing frustration and walkways.
For staff, Express Queue means fewer manual additions to the queue and less time spent managing walk-ins, freeing them up to focus on serving the customers in front of them.
Note: Express Queue is a new queue type that works alongside your existing queue setup. Contact your account manager to enable it for your organisation.
Redesigned Concierge in Studio
The queue concierge view in Studio has been redesigned to handle busy periods more effectively. The new Concierge view loads faster and supports searching and filtering across large queues, so staff can quickly find specific customers even during peak times with hundreds of people waiting. We have also added visibility of any customers that are coming in for an appointment in Concierge, giving your staff full visibility for the traffic across the branch.
The redesigned view runs alongside the existing Concierge, so your team can transition at their own pace without any disruption to day-to-day operations.
Coupons - Create and Manage Appointment Promotions
You can now create and manage coupon codes for your appointment services directly in Studio. The new Coupons module lets you set up promotional discounts, search and filter your coupons, and manage them all from one place. For organisations with multiple locations, coupons created at the parent level are automatically available at all child locations. This means you can run a company-wide promotion from a single place, or create location-specific coupons as needed.
Template Builder — Design Your Notification Emails
A new visual Template Builder is now available inside Studio, giving you the ability to design and customise your notification emails and messages without any technical knowledge. Using a drag-and-drop editor, you can adjust layouts, add your branding, edit content, and preview how your notifications will look to customers, all within Studio.
This replaces the need to request template changes through support or edit raw template files, giving you direct control over how your booking confirmations, reminders, and other communications look and feel.
More Control Over Deposit Payments
Deposit payment settings have been improved to give you more flexibility in how you collect payments:
- Simpler deposit options:Â The deposit configuration in Studio has been streamlined to three clear choices: no deposit, a percentage of the service price, or a fixed amount. A previously available option that calculated deposits per duration unit has been removed to reduce confusion.
- Deposits within the cancellation window:Â You can now choose whether to collect just the deposit or the full service price when a customer books within your minimum cancellation period. Previously, all bookings within the cancellation window automatically required full payment, now this is configurable per service, giving you more control over your payment policy.
- No payment step for admin bookings:Â When your staff create bookings in Studio, the booking is now created immediately without going through the online payment flow. Staff can mark the booking as paid later once payment has been received in person, by phone, or through another channel. This does not affect customer-facing booking flows, which continue to collect payment as configured.
Kiosk - One Configuration Across Multiple Locations
If you use kiosks across multiple locations, you can now use a single kiosk configuration for all of them. The kiosk automatically directs customers to the correct location’s booking journey based on which location the kiosk is set up for, removing the need to maintain a separate kiosk configuration for each site.
Bug Fixes
Appointments and Payments
- Deposit pricing for multi-duration services: Fixed an issue where services with multiple duration options could display inconsistent deposit amounts between the availability page and the checkout page. Customers now see the correct deposit amount throughout the entire booking flow.
- Insights Hub initial setup: Fixed an issue that could prevent the Insights Hub analytics from completing its initial connection for organisations with a pre-existing analytics configuration.
- Settings refresh after group deletion: Fixed an issue where certain configuration settings could temporarily appear outdated after deleting a location group. Changes now take effect immediately.
Studio
- Queue booking questions: Fixed an issue where a customer’s booking question answers and the “Edit questions” option were not visible in the queue customer popover. Staff can now view and edit booking questions for queued customers as expected.
Events
- Guest upload for events:Â Fixed several issues with the bulk guest upload feature, including outdated guest information being shown and a loading screen that could get stuck when switching between events.
- Event invitation confirmations:Â Fixed an issue where customers accepting an invitation to an event could see a loading screen that never completed, preventing them from confirming their attendance.
